It is used by mouth as an antifungal drug for infections involving the scalp, hair, nails and skin that do not respond to topical treatment. It has a role as an antibacterial agent and a Penicillium metabolite. It is an organochlorine compound, a member of 1-benzofurans, an oxaspiro compound, an antibiotic antifungal drug and a benzofuran antifungal drug. |
